Q&A | Getting into publishing
On Monday 4 July, between 1--4pm, there will be a live Q&A session via the Guardian Careers website centred around the routes into the publishing industry and the traditional career roles.
I am the founder / co-ordinator for the Gordon Graham-SYP Mentoring Scheme, and have been involved with the SYP since 2006: http://www.thesyp.org.uk/ I have worked in various roles in academic publishing (sales, production and editorial) for 10 years -- in Scotland, Ireland and England -- after studying publishing at Stirling University's Centre for Publishing Studies. I am currently a Senior Development Editor for an international science publisher. I am interested in all sectors of publishing, and the benefits of mentoring/coaching.
